Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana
The scheme was launched in September 2024 by the Odisha government. Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana is a ₹1,423.47 crore, five-year program designed to boost dairy farmers’ income and increase daily milk output to 130 lakh litres. The scheme provides 40% subsidy for General category farmers and 50% subsidy for SC/ST, Women, PWD, Transgender, and Agriculture Graduate beneficiaries. Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme
To promote dairy farming and rural livelihoods, the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department of Odisha implemented the Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (BEDS). It boosts rural income by supporting farmers, SHGs, and entrepreneurs with incentives for high-yielding buffalo farming. The main aims are to increase milk production, improve livestock, and enhance income through capital subsidies for establishing dairy units in all 30 districts of Odisha.
